Heritage Bank Nigeria was founded in 1989 as Societe Generale Bank (Nigeria). In 2012, it was re-issued a banking license and is now licensed as a National Bank with 11 branches around the country in addition to the 160 branches it acquired from Enterprise Bank in October 2014.
The bank is organized into four groups:
- Ivory Banking – Offers personal banking, wealth management, e-banking
- Cowry Banking – Targeted towards individuals, schools, religious organizations, professional associations, corporate firms and SMEs seeking financial management advice.
- Manilla Banking – Offers corporate and commercial services, including export/import services and facilitation of international corporate finance.
- Coral Banking – Offers public sector financial services, including: (a) checking account services, (b) revenue collection services, (c) funds management and (d) project financing.
